when 与 while用法的区别是什么？
when 与 while用法的区别：
while引导的时间状语从句多用进行时态，而when引导的用一般时态即可。
例如：用while时可以说：While I was seeking a parking lot, the police came over and asked me to show my driving license.（当我在找停车场的时候，警察走过来让我出示驾照。） 用when则要说：When I turned my head, I saw a police coming over.（当我回头的时候，我看到警察朝我走过来。）
while只能表达“during certain amount of time”（在某段时间内），不能表达某一时间点。而when则既可以表达一个时间点，又可以表达一段时间。所以，跟在while后面的动词必须要是个延续性动词，不能是类似：put on、sit down这样瞬间就结束的动词。
例如：While I was wondering what to order for lunch today, Penny suggested pizza.（当我还在苦思冥想中午吃什么的时候，Penny提议吃披萨。）
